Is there any rule where a Conference Championship can't be held after a bowl game is played?

When their coach started whining about having to play Troy I figured this was an easy way to protect their record and after Troy almost beat them ... well, we aren't playing.

Why wouldnt conference title game expenses be paid by the confernce? Do we have to pay to go to march madness in hoops?

And, let me add that I cannot believe the SB didn't just let the next team in the East Div. play yall in Lafayette. That's what the Pac 12 did. Of course, the Pac 12 may be worse than Conf. USA, and has been for the last few years. They shoulda called me; I'da told the commish what to do.

All kidding aside, I can't wait for next year's reg. season game in Lafayette. I will be there, if the good Lord's willing and the creek don't rise. Should be fun.
