  5. UL Football #19 Louisiana Faces UTSA in SERVPRO First Responder Bowl



    No. 19-ranked Louisiana Football eyes its second consecutive bowl victory on Saturday, Dec. 26, when it takes on Conference USA foe UTSA in the SERVPRO First Responder Bowl in Dallas, Texas. The first ever meeting between the two programs is slated to kickoff at 2:30 p.m. CT on ABC.

    With a win on Saturday, the team will secure its second-straight bowl victory under head coach Billy Napier and will improve it to 2-0 against Conference USA opposition in the Napier era.

    When sec steals a coach from G5 they are perfectly able to play bowl without that former head coach. So why would this be different

    Valid but wrong comparison.

    It's different because UTSA is inland and Coastal is wishy-washy.

  10. UL Football UTSA head coach Jeff Traylor tests positive for COVID-19, team still preparing for bowl game

    The UTSA athletic program announced the news Wednesday night. Traylor tested positive following a regularly scheduled test. A statement from the program said Traylor has no symptoms at this time.

  12. UL Football Napier pleased with team's mental approach in practice after last week's bombshell

    Truthfully, UL coach Billy Napier would have preferred a more precise practice from his No. 16-ranked Ragin’ Cajuns on Wednesday.

    But all things considered, Napier said he’s pleased with how his team has seemed to recover from the disappointment of not getting to play for the Sun Belt Conference championship last weekend.
