Well here might be the first "surprise". Tyrone Lewis Jr is in. He is a transfer from Kansas State. He is a Safety from Hammond who signed originally with KSU.

    Nice pickup

Offers from KSU, Tulane, Arkansas, Ball State, Arkansas State, FIU, Houston, Iowa State, UL, La Tech, ULM, Memphis, mIssouri, Ole Miss, SMU, USA, SLU, USM, Tennessee, Texas State, Troy, Utah, Utah State and WKU out of HS.

Thanks. That helps put some perspective on it for me. I see a lot of 3*'s and was wondering

Lewis played 4 games for KSU in 2019 as a reserve DB and Special Teams. He was the 52 ranked Safety by ESPN in 2019 and the 26th ranked player in the state of LA that year.

    Really nice pickup.

Another "surprise" John Stephens JR is in. A transfer WR from TCU. He is a big one, 6'4 206 lbs from Logansport, LA. Some nice offers out of HS which included Arizona State, Mississippi State and TCU among others.

As a Sophomore at TCU had 11 receptions for 157 yards and appeard in all 12 games. This year only had 1 catch for 5 yards.

    Another Big 12 transfer.

That 6’ 4” 296 puts the wide in WR.

With the last year being a covid carnival in much of the South, lots of players couldn't make the camps that evaluate, not just this year's Sr. But juniors as well...point is, this year, throw out the rankings and stars, trust the staff talent evaluation. Also, Foote mentioned that several will sign in Feb for various reasons. Carencro RB for one...

Robert Williams is in. WR from Trinity Christian. He was the highest rated recruit on our board according to 247.

I guess these players want to play for a better team in a better conference than the Big 12.
