Thread: LOUISIANA 2021 Signees & Transfers

  1. Default Re: LOUISIANA NSD21b (National Signing Day)

Originally had offers from ULM, UNT, Utah State and Arkansas State out of HS. So the kid was pretty good and is experienced as a starter in our conference.

    Nice addition.

From an article on 247sports regarding top players per position in the transfer portal:
T.J. Fiailoa, OG, ULM: A three-year starter and an all-Sun Belt selection for the Warhawks, Fiailoa is arguably the top FBS offensive lineman on the market in what’s become a really shallow pool.

ULM doesn't have a ton of quality players that could overtake UL starters in 2020, but this guy seems to be one of the ones that at least was on par if not better than what we had. And more importantly it is always important to have depth on the OL. This my friends is what I consider quality depth. Not sure how interchangable he is or our current line is, but he is listed as a guard and will have to challenge Ken Marks and O'Cyrus Torrence for that position, he clearly is not a center and I think Shane Vallot has done a good job there. Max Mitchell at one Tackle and Rubio at the other. Not sure where he would fit, but with the way Coach Napier likes to rotate on the line, he could be a guy that gets lots of playing time and clearly could replace Ken Marks in 2022.

This young man will be a starter for us somewhere on the OL. Freakish ability.

Marks has started and played tackle in the past. He has the athletic ability to do so affectively. I wouldn’t be surprised if he bumps out to OT next season and have Cybo and TJ as a nasty pair of guards.

The whole OL will be very deep and talented across the board. Sale will have some nice pieces to move around.

Good to see Lance Legendre has signed. I’m always a bit nervous until they actually sig the LOI.
