Thread: Can the Cajuns Play in a Major Bowl?

  1. UL Football Can the Cajuns Play in a Major Bowl?

What are the chances that the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns will play in a New Year's Six bowl game this year?

They're probably a little better than you think.

New Year's Six bowl games consist of the Rose Bowl, Orange Bowl, Sugar Bowl, Cotton Peach, Peach Bowl, and Fiesta Bowl.

In the past, some bowls gave participating schools seats that have a certain value. Connecticut lost money one year on a high payout bowl because they could not sell the seats.

Who pays for the trip itself? Seems inconsistant. In one breath we are told the student athletes are starving to death and need pell grants and stipends and then in the next breath their families can afford to attend games all over the country. Or the big boys get impermissable benefits that g5 doesnt. They need to make up their minds and open the books (and grade books)

The bowls give the schools seats that they can sell to finance their expenses.
