ULM had a good coach and he couldn't win there. I think it will be very hard for them to hire a competent coach at all.

Maybe HUD wants to move back to a 1A gig in LA??

    He’d be a natural there.

I dont think the cheerleaders at ULM are cute enough to get HUD's attention

It’s ok for you to go after the officials but we must draw a line at the cheerleaders.

In LASERS it’s 2.5% X years of service X avg salary. In this case 75% of $350k = $262,500 per year. I think it’s the same formula for TRSL which covers most teachers and those in upper education.

That's actually a great fit for both sides but I do concur that it will be hard to lure Hud to Monroe without an injection of hot co-eds.

Depends on what you mean by "injection"....

ULM operates at an FCS level and cannot continue to effectively compete in the FBS. ULM has by far the lowest budget in FBS and lower than many FCS schools. $350k head coach salary is ridiculously low for an FBS school. If Viator couldn't win there, I doubt anyone can be successful playing at the higher level. Time to return to their glory years winning a national championship in 1aa as NLU. They would have a better identity as NLU, North Louisiana University, that many alumni would like to see. The ULM name no longer impacts us, but I think returning to NLU would be beneficial to them.

Well, the name question is interesting, because 1) I am not sure if they would be allowed to change it, and 2) assuming they would, and did, that would probablly have an impact on us, as the 'law' created when we both changed in the late 90's was that there had to be at least 2 schools in the system that agreed to the change their names. If we couldn't get another school to change theirs (which I highly doubt we could), would they then try to make us change back to USL? I would think that would most likely happen, lol.
No, I think it best all around if ULM stays ULM.
