Steve Campbell at USA is out as is Matt Viator at ULM.
I feel bad for Viator, he is a good coach, should never have taken the ULM job.

On the other forum, someone posted prior to the ULM game that the Warhawks will seriously look at moving to FCS in the offseason. I presume that could not happen until 2022 due to required schedule changes. Same poster said that our President prevented Liberty from joining the league a couple of years ago. Followup post said USM would quickly move to jump to the Sun Belt where ULM to drop out.
Well well well....
It would be awesome if USM came on board. If ULM left and USM joined, Tech would probably start knocking on our door too.
And now that Falwell Jr. was finally kicked to the curb, Liberty might be able to reform itself enough to become a respectable academic institution. He was 80% of their problem. But as long as they keep entertaining the idea that the earth is only 4,000 years old, I doubt they’ll ever get in.
I agree, he didn't deserve this.
And I really do not see them dropping to FCS. The new president will try to keep them in the fight. But I don't envy the new coach....provided he is given just a tad bit more resources, might be a good chance for some young, hungry guy to make a name for himself. But what a fight that will be for whoever takes this task on.
I know that there are lots of USM boosters who think the same thing, they would love to be in the Sun Belt and think that UL USM would turn into a great rivalry
If USM comes to the SBC, I say we say no to LA Tech and let them hang out to dry, The way LA tech has treated us over the years. Add USM and Liberty and shut the door. if ULM drops out add FAU instead of LA Tech.
Im sure FAU is tired of getting confused with FIU and wants their own conference.
I don't see Liberty getting in. Even with Fawell no longer in the picture, their academics, specifically biological sciences, is a problem. Don't want to enter into a theological or biblical debate, just stating what I believe is the case.
I can't imagine the conference taking in a Florida school. Travel is too expensive. I believe that is why New Mexico State is no longer in the Sunbelt.
