The other option was to cut back to the middle of the field once he had the first down and give yourself up.

As I stated he had the first by a decent amount at that point.

when an RB runs normally ball is held by arm closest to sideline. if someone cuts back now neither arm is facing sideline. wouldnt that make a fumble possible?

I was only referencing p5 QBs the Cajuns have beaten. Purdy is the only one to get to conference finals I’m pretty sure.
