Unless you’re injured, I really don’t see how a G5 player sitting out a bowl game does much else than hurt the stock. It’s another shot to play on national TV, possibly the main ESPN, rather than some U, +, or that CBS Live channel no one watches.

Thanks for the correction. By “wasting away”, I was referring to being stuck on such an organization, not his play.

No doubt but he decided to re-sign with Detroit in the off-season. They made him the best offer as I’m sure other franchises were courting him.

Man, he just can’t stay healthy. Afraid that will prevent a big contract (at least guaranteed money) for him. Which is a shame, bc he is great when he’s actually on the field.

Yep and if he would have stayed in bounds it would have 100% done so. It worked out but he should have gotten down before stepping out of bounds. Could have been disastrous.
