The first college football playoff rankings of the year were released Tuesday night, and as usual, the CFB committee didn't value the elite G5 teams.

Man, can't believe they dumped Coastal Carolina to #20. I guess it was great when the SBC was the only game in town because the Big 10 & Big 12 were too afraid to play football. But now the Sunbelt gets tossed out to the island of misfit toys again.
Screw ESPN, the AP still has UL at #23. They're the oldest most respected poll in the the country.
ESPN get so much leeway with rankings its ridiculous. They get so lucky with drafts and recruiting lists and no one pulls them up on it either!
I doubt having former McNeese player R.C. Slocum on the committee was much help for Louisiana's cause.
ESPN bottom 10 takes a swing at the CFP top 25, pretty good one at that too.
Yeah, Ulhm is still #1.

CFP Mahogany tables?
Why does "may-hog-any open slot they find" fit so well?
