You're talking impact, they're talking prestigiousness.

This is an accurate assessment. The only thing the CFP Poll has impact on is the CFP itself...period.

Correct, the CFP is awarded by the CFP committee...but that’s it.

We likely get in next week if anyone from 20-25 loses. We most definitely get in if we win up in Boone and win the CCG in Conway.

Yep, as always the best way to win is to win. And winning those two games will do it.

Iowa St won today and gave Texas another loss, this should bump our strength of wins and should push Texas out of top 25 with 3 losses now. Do we sneak into another poll this week or at least move up in the other polls

UNC is probably going to lose to ND and they will fall to 6-3. They are currently #19 in the polls.

So Iowa St. (2 losses) is ranked 13th played #17 UT and beat them. But we played and beat Iowa St. at Iowa St., currently have one loss, and barely crack the top 25. What is wrong with this picture. Our only loss comes to a top 20 team that is ranked higher than Iowa St. I know our strength of schedule is not the best, but some of that blame goes to Covid. Still, only makes sense that a team with one lost that beat a team with 2 losses at their place, should be ranked higher.

A head scratcher on one level for sure.

On another level it exposes their protectionism.

    Totally agree. It's a shame.
