Thread: SUIT UP: Jacobi Gordon Gets His Waiver

  1. UL Basketball SUIT UP: Jacobi Gordon Gets His Waiver

The news that UL’s season opener against Xavier scheduled for the day before Thanksgiving was canceled surfaced Wednesday.

While such a development is always a bit disappointing, it’s doubtful it did much to tarnish the good-news week it’s been so far for coach Bob Marlin’s men’s basketball team.

This is some good news, the fact that we were going to be down Durey Cadwell and Kobe Julien, at least this gives us some depth in the lineup until they return.

I know their have been alot of people talking about his injuries in the past, but the guy is a 6'7" Forward who averaged about 10 minutes a game for 2 seasons at Cal.

He was a top 50 recruit before the ruptured Achilles in high school. In all honesty he should have been playing more than 10 minutes even at a program like Cal so it just looks like the injuries have really hampered him. I’m personally not putting any expectations on him, whatever he can contribute is lagniappe. I hope we are all pleasantly surprised. Getting the waiver is big though because with the extra year of eligibility for everybody he truly would have wasted this season sitting out and the depth is needed at the moment.

Does anyone know what kind of coverage (live streaming variety) we'll get with basketball this season?

its not supposed to be noone in office, it is supposed to be telework. calling and emailing ncaa seems more than possible with telework, what gives.

no article ever would ever read same with nick saban substituted into a similar situation, insane.

I think that post may have referred to why the waiver took so long to approve. NCAA should still be able to function despite having to work from home.
