Thread: Levi Lewis on 2021: 'I'm coming back'

FWIW, before we got Fenroy, Babb was on track to pass up Jake's numbers.

But Babb, like so many of the athletes UL attracts, was team first, leadership first. So he happily stepped into the wings with the comment, "My favorite play is watching [Fenroy] run... "

Let’s be clear on one thing. You can’t reasonably compare Jake, and Brian to later QBacks. They were passing down field much more. Not nearly the high completion passes at the line of scrimmage we see today at every level. I’d take both those guys in today’s offenses. Brian would be a tremendous success. Jake would still be very high in his success.

Levi was 8 out of 23, for 101 yards and the key, no interceptions. I wouldn't have thought we could win this game with those stats, but we did. Just a crazy game.

At least six of the incompletions were throw aways. Either no open receivers or failure to see one.

I thought Levi played great last night doing what he needs to do every game, which is keep it every now and then on the option and taking off when necessary.
I don't like the decision to throw the deep ball. I feel like that's just a wasted play. He's shown he has trouble hitting wide open men down field even in good weather conditions. Crossing patterns and mid-range outs are his best routes to throw to. Throwing the ball away on 3rd and 2 was his biggest mistake last night, but I blame that on play calling. We obviously should have run the ball there to get a first and ice the game with having App burn their last TO at worst.
If Coach calls more designed QB runs and keeps the passing game short/medium we win the SBC.

You might be right about the deep balls. They’re not getting out of single coverage
