He had no skills. Only thing he had was good shooting form but was so slow getting into his motion that he couldn't even get his shot off. Was also the worst defender on the team by a mile.

I don't know what will happen with Domingue. I do know they have offered him a preferred walk on spot. Apparently the young man is an excellent student and should receive academic scholarships. Will it equal a full ride is something I don't know. If so, that may increase our chances. I have played pick up ball with his Dad at Red Lerille's. His Dad definitely knows the game so I am not surprised he is doing well at STM.

I believe his dad would prefer him going somewhere else. Not to say he can't end up here but I think it will kind of depend on other offers and interest.

Have you spoken with his Dad directly about this situation. I know the staff has had meetings with the family and believe they made a good case as to why Carter can be successful here. Granted if another comparable school offers an athletic scholarship, he likely considers it strongly. If the offer comes from a school with full cost of attendance included, it would be hard to pass that up as that means significant dollars.

Yes. That was also during last season so things can change a lot in that time. I'm not saying that he won't come here but based on our conversation, I think his father was hoping for something maybe a little bigger to come along.

I would think with the 2nd singing of Ty Harper we won’t see any additions until after the season. With the way I understand the scholarship limit and extra eligibility, the 2 seniors on this years squad (Russell and Gueye) could return next season and not count against the limit. So with 2 signees we are now at the limit. If Carter would be offered a full scholarship somewhere that has one between now and then it may be wise to take it. I would expect roster turnover again as the seniors may not want to return and with the restrictions on transfers being lifted it will basically be free agency each off season. For example if a power 5 program thinks Mylik Wilson is a good fit for them he could transfer and play next year, I would expect that sort of thing to happen with some elite mid major players.
