Joe Charles signs with MBB Cajuns

Joe is 6’8” and 205 lbs. it is said he can be a factor in his team’s success on both ends of the floor. Led Carencro to the state title his freshman year and semi finals his sophomore year. He missed the last half of his junior year due to injury. Prior to that he was averaging 19 points and 8 rebounds per game. I don’t know the details of his injury situation. He looked fine in the KATC clip this evening. Note he committed to us after his sophomore year which was months prior to his injury.

He's taller than that now. Had torn his ACL last year.

Watched him in the Sunkist last year. Made some nice plays but not overly impressive. Potential is there with his size. He kinda reminds me of Tyren Johnson coming out of high school. Hopefully he packs on some pounds

There are not many 6'10 guys that can handle the ball and shoot like he can. Once he puts some more weight on and continues to work on his game, he is going to be really really good.

He’d shake Lafayette out of his boots every time

He is still growing. I think he will get to 6'10 before he is finished.

Lafayette isn't even in the same stratosphere as this guy. Joe is a much much better prospect.

I have no idea what that poster saw at the Sunkist, easily the most skilled player in the tournament, outside of maybe Jalen Cook.

I saw a kid with the skill and potential but he wasn’t overly impressive. Carter Domingue was a man in that tournament and pretty much all year. But to each their own. I never said Charles wouldn’t be good. I think his ceiling is very high. He just needs to polish off his game and grow into his body.
