I know with all the China Virus issues every team has numerous extra players than needed.

Example....My son will be a 3rd year true freshman next year (Spring 2021). Anyone who redshirted in spring 2019 would still be a 4th year Freshman next spring. No one is progressing in years played, boucoup experienced players that stay make it ridiculously difficult for 1st year true freshmen to make roster

But wouldn't that be true to any university they would transfer to? Every university across the nation will be having returning classmen that were awarded another year. So why would anybody enter the transfer portal this year expecting a different outcome.

I suppose they could pick a university they believe that they’re better than the starters.
