The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Women's Soccer team opens play in the 2020 Sun Belt Conference Championships on Wednesday when it faces Coastal Carolina in a quarterfinal matchup at the Foley Sports Complex.
Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. The match will be available on ESPN+ with live stats for the match available at CajunStats.com.
Louisiana (8-4-1) earned the No. 2 seed in the West Division and a first-round bye in the postseason for the first time ever. The Ragin' Cajuns earned their first-ever victory in the 2019 SBC Championships and reached the semifinals for the first time.
Coastal Carolina (6-4-0) earned the No. 3 seed in the East Division behind South Alabama and Georgia State. The Chanticleers snapped a two-match losing streak with a 1-0 win over Georgia Southern in their regular-season finale on Sept. 28.
The meeting between Louisiana and Coastal Carolina is the first between the schools in the postseason. Louisiana earned its first victory in the all-time series last season in a 3-1 victory in Lafayette.

LOUISIANA HONORED WITH USC TEAM ACADEMIC AWARD
• The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Women's Soccer team was one of 941 college teams recognized by the United Soccer Coaches as the Team Academic Award winners were recently announced by the organization.
• College Team Academic Award recipients are active members of the United Soccer Coaches College Services Program with a composite grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale for all players on the roster for the 2019-20 academic year.
• The award for Louisiana was its 11th overall since the program's inception in 2000. The Ragin' Cajuns earned the Team Academic Award in the following years: 2003, 2004, 2007, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2019.
Cajuns move on to play in the semifinals vs the winner of 1E USA vs 4W Little Rock with a 3-0 win over Coastal. The Cajuns next play at 4PM on Friday.
They beat Coastal 3-0 to move onto the SemiFinals and will play the winner of USA and LR on Friday.

The freshman trio of Hailey Hoffmann, Mya Smith and Alyssa Abbott each accounted for goals while the freshman duo of Lauryn Starwood and Carly Dean combined to post a school-record ninth shutout of the season as the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Women's Soccer team recorded a 3-0 victory over Coastal Carolina in the Sun Belt Conference Championships on Wednesday at the Foley Sports Complex.
If I remember correctly the soccer team pulled an upset win vs S Alabama early in the season at S Alabama. Geaux Cajuns
