Half time. Down 1-2.
1-3. 37:00 left. Own goal.
1-4. Under 20. Four unanswered goals.
Final. Better team won.
Nice season all things considered.
1-4 down is a miracle to pull it out with less than 20 minutes. In soccer that is.
Senior Ashley Newland scored her first career goal midway through the sixth minute to give the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Women's Soccer team early momentum, but South Alabama scored twice in the final 14 minutes of the first half before adding more goals to claim a 4-1 victory in the semifinals of the Sun Belt Conference Championships on Friday at the Foley Sports Complex.
South outplayed the Cajuns. They got the 2nd goal with 8 seconds in the half. Ouch.
