Thread: Rankings Projection

    UL Football Rankings Projection

Looks like 5 teams ranked in lower half of Top 25 lost this weekend. Coupled with the road win over UAB, Louisiana should move back into the rankings Sunday afternoon. Will project at #24.

Depends on how much the respect a 21 game home winning streak.

Don't think it happens until we either start winning games by 30 points or we beat App State in Boone. Iowa State losing yesterday also hurts.

Iowa State losing escaped my notice.

    That hurts.

Some of those top 25 lost to unranked teams with two or more loses. However looking for OU,Texas, or LSU to make moves.

I seem to recall we were third in nation in road winning streak behind clemson and app st. App st lost a few weeks ago and now we won. Are we second. Or at the time it is possible it didnt include teams that hadnt started yet

Hopefully we’re not at the point where 2 loss teams are in the polls. Maybe in December, but not now. I’m sure that team from Baton Rouge are delighted with their monster win over the powerhouse Gamecocks, but even they’d tell you they are not a top 25 team.

I think it’s going to be hard for the Cajuns to get back in. Maybe after a few more wins.

Sadly, we will hover right around the 25th spot but not hit it unless we win out the season.

The Cajuns need to make a statement in the remaining games on the schedule. As for the rest of the opponents on the schedule, they are teams that the Cajuns should be able to beat and beat badly so the Cajuns need convincing wins to garner attention. A 3 point win against Texas State or USA will not get it done. I know, a win is a win, and I will take the close wins any day of the week, but to get in the minds of the voters in the national polls, we need some convincing wins against these (perceived) weaker opponents. I hope the Cajuns do not take Texas State lightly as they seem to be trending upwardly.
