    First cajun drafted in 1989.... Fact check por favor... What about Alvin Dark: Upon his return to the states in 1946, Dark discovered he had been drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 1945 NFL Draft. He preferred baseball over football, however,

    The first NFL draft wasn't till 1936 but Louisiana's Keener Cagle would certainly been drafted.

    After playing for Louisiana he played for Army and was on the cover of Time Magazine in 1929.

    With his NFL money he became half owner in the Brooklyn Dodgers NFL team.

    All these guys below were from the 1940's

    I don't know if he was drafted but Louisiana's John Bandura played for the Brooklyn Dodgers.

    Louisiana's Bill Blackburn was drafted by the Chicago Cardinals

    Louisiana's Virgil Eikenberg was drafted by the Brooklyn Dodgers

    Louisiana's Saxton Judd was drafted by the Chicago Cardinals
