Have you ever coached or played football..... Each opponent is different that is why your game plan changes.... It does not matter how may yards Ragas averaged last week.....

His numbers don't carry over if that's what you mean.

If you don't keep track of the hot hand you are out coaching yourself with phantom fears..

My exact dial in was ...

"Trey Ragas averaged 7.7 yards on 10 carries vs Coastal Carolina.

Alternate U: Ragas carries the ball 20 times, Louisiana wins!

There is no available defensive spy to pick off Lewis, the "late mistakes" don't matter, Coastal doesn't own Time of Possession, and their offense doesn't get the ball as many times as they did."

Hey numbback, I'm patting you on the back for lamenting where last years rushing attack went.

I sure hope so, but we will need some offense to do it.

The Hot Hand is a fallacy. It depends on the opponents defense and what our running backs best skills versus the opponents defense. If the opponents defense does not measure to the skills our offense have, then we exploit their weaknesses to capitalize on all of our running backs special skills. It encompasses our entire offense; offensive line, receivers, running backs and quarterback.....

So you abandon what has been working because you are scared of what you see on paper?

Classic case of outthinking yourself and in effect beating yourself.

How’d UAB lose their football program a few years ago and already have a 4-1 season

Turbine, I am not trying to argue with you, but every opponent is different. You don't abandon what is working, but you adjust your game plan based upon film and not paper. You don't out think yourself, but you plan for each different opponent based upon the skill of ours and their players. You analyze their offensive and defensive schemes to determine what works best and worst for them and capitalize on their weaknesses. Right now we don't have a quarterback for our offense to be successful. Basic observation is we cannot stretch the field to open up the running game.
