Ragin Cajun Football looking to gain some consistency as they prepare for the UAB Blazers on Friday Night, on the CBS SportsNetwork.
The Cajuns may not always have their players in “normal” positions and dealing with revolving doors at many positions makes it difficult to get and consistent flow.

For the first time since the 2000 season, Louisiana will take on UAB in Birmingham when the two programs meet up at Legion Field on Friday, Oct. 23. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. on CBS Sports Network.
The Cajuns are coming off their first loss of the season in a 30-27 scrum against Coastal Carolina, while UAB beat Western Kentucky, 37-14, on Saturday, Oct. 17.
Louisiana is looking for its first-ever win over UAB in Birmingham and its first win in the all-time series since defeating the Blazers, 34-0, in Lafayette on Sept. 21, 2002.

• Louisiana is currently 2-0 on the road this season and owns a 7-1 record in road games dating back to the start of the 2019 season.
• The road wins at Iowa State (Sept. 12) and at Georgia State (Sept. 19) marked the first time in program history that the Ragin' Cajuns opened a season with two road victories.
Slingin' It
• Levi Lewis has thrown for 900 yards through four games this year, moving him into sixth place in program history for career passing yards (4,912). The yardage total also ranks him 34th in the nation and fifth in the Sun Belt Conference. Additionally, Lewis has now thrown 40 touchdowns in his career, tied for third in program history for career passing scores.
Moving up the History Books
• Trey Ragas carried the ball 10 times for 77 yards against Coastal Carolina. With his 77 rushing yards, he became the fifth Ragin' Cajun in program history to rush for over 3,000 yards at 3,034.
Have a Day, Jalen Williams
• Williams recorded a career high in receptions (4) and receiving yards (89) against Coastal Carolina. Williams' 89 yards receiving is the most by any Ragin' Cajun has recorded all season.
Men in the Backfield
• Louisiana is joined by Appalachian State, Coastal Carolina and Georgia Southern and the only teams from the Sun Belt who have four players on their rosters that have rushed for over 100 yards on the year.
• Louisiana is one of 12 programs in the nation that have yet to lose a fumble this season.
Menace in the Middle
• Lorenzo McCaskill brought his sack total to 2.0 on the year with his 1.0 sack against Coastal Carolina (Oct. 14), which surpassed his last two seasons combined. He also led the team with eight tackles in that game.
• McCaskill's 44 tackles is currently tied for 10th in all of FBS, while is 11.0 tackles per game is tied for sixth in the nation.
