As I remember, the SBC closed the loophole about 2009. From 2006 to 2010, they were champs or co-champs every year. In the 10 years since, however, Troy has only shared one conference championship:

Ive seen both ways today, so which one is it, is it cochampion, champion, or scewed by the chicken____s
And I have to say, I find Troy disappointing for many reasons.
Not least of which is outside the stadium where the Trojans play is a huge statue...
...of a Roman soldier. They don't even know the difference.
('Course, USC makes the same mistake. Yuck.)
I was looking forward to this game. Could a possible solution be treat teams as co champs for bowl selection and reschedule CCG for week or 10 days later? Don't know how that would affect NO Bowl, but have read that bowls may be with more regional opponents this yr. Strange season but the game would be great for your conference, whenever played I would think.
So you beat UAB, the CUSA champion, you beat Iowa State, the potential Big 12 champion who is ranked #6 in CFP, and we sitting here with our dick in our hand. This is bull____ man.
I hope UAB slams CC if they play.
You talk about a resume. Trying to be impartial.
Cajuns beat then 23 Iowa state. Now top 10! On the road.
Beat the CUSA champs. On the road.
Beat App. A 7 win team.L and usual champ. On the road.
Lose a game by 3 team that beat Kansas (well done) a good App team that we beat and a good BYU team at home.
Where are we?

On Sunbeltsports.org's front page:
Keister Grill, SBC Commish: “We are very disappointed that the championship game cannot be played, but we are so proud of all of the players and staff members and their hard work during this truly challenging season," said Sun Belt Commissioner Keith Gill. "We will honor both teams as 2020 Sun Belt Conference Co-Champions.""
