From reading your psycho dribble, I know this will just go right over your head. But both of those QBs were damn good tonight. One just made a bone headed play out of all of his plays & they made us pay while Washington who made a "good" play, but not an all time great play by picking their QB & going house with it because he was already looking at the house instead of the ball. Those kinds of plays were the difference. But just because their QB was excellent & we didn't make him pay the couple of times he wasn't doesn't mean Lewis is bad. I'm glad they finally opened up their offense. I wish they had done so weeks before, but that wasn't the hand the season gave Napier. So he's having to play a hand completely differently than what he planned.
And I agree with BWK? Holy ____!

Based on talent we’ve seen, Coastal will have their hands full with the GA teams. The East is well coached. I know Jay thinks it’s Coastal who we might see again. I’m not too sure. Mistakes team made that turned out to be at critical times was difference. I was really disappointed in defenses inability to get off the field. Our guys looked gassed on last drive. OL was inconsistent. And made to critical mistakes on drives I thought we would score on. Penalties in last three games have been numerous and untimely.

as long as our defense was on the field last night any person would have been a little gassed

Here is my thing, Levi may be the best student athlete and great young person but at the end of the day his play is inconsistent when we need the plays made. And it wasn't on difficult throws. I know the false start on third and inches was huge but there were a handful of easy throws that would have kept drives going throughout the game. I'm not saying he is terrible but just not the guy to bring us where we need. On another note unless Billy takes a second tier P5 job good news is after last night he isn't going anywhere in the near future.

Me too, it must be the dawning of the Age of Aquarius.

There were a lot of things that went wrong last night, and some things that went well, but the Cajuns definitely did not "poo their pants." Coastal is a very well coached and disciplined team that runs a rather quirky hybrid option offense. It took the defense through the first half to adjust to defending it. That option pitch on the right side made for big gains several times. Besides the play calling, Coastal was very quick and their running backs were very hard to tackle. In order to win this game, we would have needed to play a near perfect game. We made a few mistakes (uncharacteristic penalties, a costly interception, etc.) and Coastal made us pay for each of those. That is what good teams do. No, we will not be ranked next week. Maybe that will take some of the pressure off of the team and they can play better in the next game. The goals for this team are still in front of them and if they play Coastal again for the championship game, I like our chances to win. Our defense will understand their offense better and hopefully we can eliminate the mistakes that occurred in this game.

We couldn’t get off the field on 3rd down. That’s why we lost. This isn’t on Levi. They shortened the game, controlled the clock and made a couple more critical plays than us. End of story.

If there are more disappointing losses in Cajuns' athletic history, the list isn't long.

They almost doubled us up on TOP. One possession was for 16 plays and they barely averaged over 4 yards a play. And I think the converted on 3 third downs AND a fourth down.

    Nobody made a play.

Our "three-headed-monster" had 24 carries (for 150 yards, mind you); Levi threw the ball 24 times. BTW, they ran the ball 48 times.

Levi's pass was a little behind the receiver, but it was catchable. But it was behind the receiver. But it should have been caught.

    Nobody made the play.

We called the right play. But somebody missed a block, Levi rushed his throw; it was a little low but it should have been caught. But it was a little low. But it should have been caught.

    Nobody made the play.

Third and inches and we rush a play, only to have a lineman jump.

    Nobody made the play.

They have 3rd and 4; we miss a tackle in the backfield.

    Nobody made a play.

We force them to punt, only to throw the interception.

    Nobody made the play

We have the opportunity to make the pick on their side of the field and drop it.

    Nobody made the play.

At the end of the half, we tie it up only to mishandle the hold.

    Nobody made the play.

This was our chance. And during the week, it was said if anybody could keep a team focused, it was Napier.

Too many missed passes, dropped passes, missed blocks, missed tackles, missed interceptions, etc., say otherwise.

Hell, the play announcer guy doesn't even know what a "three-and-out" is.

I would not be surprised if Jay is right about Coastal. I think they are better than the Georgia teams. Their execution based around a game plan of "just get the first down" is outstanding. Reason we could not get off the field is they were always in manageable third downs. They are more balanced and less mistake prone than the Georgia teams. Defensively they are vastly improved. Agree that penalties were a key factor. Also big factor was not having Ferrod Gardner who is our best LB.
