LOUISIANA La. - The School of Architecture and Design at the University of Louisiana will host the first in a series of lectures about industrial design, interior design and architecture on Sept. 24. All lectures will be held in Fletcher Hall, room 134 at 3:30 p.m.
The first speaker will be Joe Davis, a research affiliate in the biology department at MIT. His speech is “Genesthetics: Molecular Biology and Microbiology in the Arts.”
Highlights of the lecture series are two lectures on European architecture and two workshops in which practitioners and students will construct installations at Fletcher Hall. All lectures are free and sponsored by the School of Architecture and Design and the Student Government Association.
The next lecture in the series is Oct. 17 and will feature Eric Wiedegreen, program director for interior design at the International Academy of Design and Technology.
