Welcome home sir...and to the bayou life. Does it already have duck boxes or is that a project in waiting?

Depends on how many trees to negotiate. Have a little over an acre on the Teche and a 66" ZTR Huskey gets it done in 20 minutes. Weed eater takes more of my time. Cut it every week or two.


Going to a tractor is more of a function of how long you allow the grass to grow.

Will be looking for a Kubota BX in the spring...until then, I'll use my 3 goats and horse to keep the yard trimmed...

Wife has finally agreed to move back to Acadiana. I'm looking for a 2+ acre "Mini-Farm" which basically means the property if fenced and there is a shed or barn for livestock. 1500 square foot or more house. Interested in property east of I-49 and the basin area, so its eastern St. Landry or St. Martin parish. Will consider other locations however. Have approval on an FHA 203k loan, so fixing something up is not an issue. Working with a realtor already, so I get the latest Zillow and Realtor.com postings. If you guys know of anything or who I can reach out to, post it here. Not interested in living in a subdivision or anywhere close to those who post on this site....
