Thread: Mini-Farm

    Louisiana Mini-Farm

Wife has finally agreed to move back to Acadiana. I'm looking for a 2+ acre "Mini-Farm" which basically means the property if fenced and there is a shed or barn for livestock. 1500 square foot or more house. Interested in property east of I-49 and the basin area, so its eastern St. Landry or St. Martin parish. Will consider other locations however. Have approval on an FHA 203k loan, so fixing something up is not an issue. Working with a realtor already, so I get the latest Zillow and Realtor.com postings. If you guys know of anything or who I can reach out to, post it here. Not interested in living in a subdivision or anywhere close to those who post on this site....

Would you consider purchasing land and doing a build, or is that a hassle you are hoping to avoid?

No worries...I totally understand how ridiculous the process can be. Very cool that you know what you're looking for. Best of luck!

If all goes well, will be relocating to Breaux Bridge in early January. Offer on a house was accepted earlier this week. Looking forward to getting home!
