Today, Louisiana State Police Region 2 detectives investigated a disTurbinece that occurred on Paulette St. in Crowley, LA.
According to investigating troopers shortly before 1:00 p.m., Lisa Broussard (W/F 35years old) was involved in a disTurbinece at 153 Paulette St. in Crowley, LA. The initial investigation indicated that Broussard and relative of hers, Rebecca Deville (W/F 50 years old), got into an argument at the location. During the argument, Broussard attempted to leave the scene. When she was driving away Deville was struck by the 2007 GMC Yukon Broussard was operating. Broussard was stopped by a State Fire Marshal who was at the scene when the incident occurred.
At the time of the incident, Broussard was employed as a deputy with the Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office and is assigned to the 911 dispatch center. Broussard was off duty when the incident occurred. Due to the involvement of the deputy, the Acadia Parish Sheriff requested Louisiana State Police investigate this matter. The incident remains under investigation and charges are pending.
