Thread: key play impact

    Default key play impact

Key play of the game was the touchback resulting from the fumble out of the end zone. There was a Cajun who made contact with the receiver right before the fumble. We don't know how much impact that contact had on the fumble. Regardless if it was minimal, it may have been a factor on the positive outcome for us. Anyone know which player that was. Good effort not to give up on the play. That guy needs to be recognized.

Good point, it saved the game with out a doubt. This team seems to have devine intervention. The kicker wears #36. Nuff said

No doubt Snyder is the hero today considering the rough start he had. Still the touchback was critical.

It was Butler who grabbed his waste near the goal line, but the ball was loose prior to that. The guy just plain got too excited and lost it.

I HATE to say this out loud.
The team that played today and last week is NOT as good as it’s record indicates.

A G5 team with 25% of its starters out is not the team that it is.

In the past, we had games where we really should have won, but then lost. I know exactly what you mean, we aren't playing great and yeah we have several players out. But, we can take these last 2 wins and enjoy. It's about time we get some luck going our way.

Does anyone know the status of Chris Smith?

Or LeBlanc? He and Lewis seemed to be getting some chemistry going before he went down.

Smith was carted to locker room while LeBlanc limped off of the field.

I hope that all are OK and ready for App State. Will need all hands on deck.

In post game comments, Coach Napier said that Smith wanted to get back into the game in the second half. They held him out for his own good. Injury involved his ankle. Not sure about Leblanc.

This is good news as seeing him on the cart was scary.

I Hope that Leblanc is also back on the field soon.
