[FONT='arial black', 'avant garde']First, ask to see an ID and a badge that shows that the person represents the U.S. Census Bureau. The worker will also have a hand-held device that is used to take your information;[/FONT][FONT='arial black', 'avant garde']the census taker will also carry an over-the-shoulder bag with U.S. Census Bureau 2010 printed in large letters on the side,[/FONT][FONT='arial black', 'avant garde']and a confidentiality notice.[/FONT]

[FONT='arial black', 'avant garde']Census workers will not ask for your Social Security number or for information about your bank accounts or credit cards. Never invite the worker, or anyone you don’t know, into your home. To protect against identity theft, you never give out personal or financial information to anyone who shows up at your door. When in doubt call your local law Enforcement Agency. [/FONT]
