COVID causing deficits in income from football will help us keep Coach Napier longer but how long do you think we have and what will it take for us to keep him long term. His dad had a very long career at one HS. Do you think he has the same longevity in mind when looking at building a winning program? Could we fund the program enough to make it?

Exactly, this isn’t the 70’s. Big TV, and opportunities to play for NT trumps almost universally.

The way things are structured, maybe 20-25 schools are capable and hyper committed to competing for the CFB national championship. If and when there's a opening at one of those slots, coaches go. When Chris Peterson was at Boise he could have left years earlier, but he waited for the Washington job he coveted. Timing is everything.
