_ According to Bird of Paradise's blog of yesterday, Floyd and his wife want to stay in Louisiana as both have parents living in the state. I presume this info came from the interview. If he wants to go back to the West Coast, that means he may have lied in the interview. _

I don't think he lied so much as is keeping his options open. If he really wants to stay in Louisiana then UL would without a doubt be the best job for him. we'll find out in the next month or two what his decision is

And why would all other universities have agreed with us? As was stated, we are not the only university to have decided to hire someone else over Butch.

We don't need to ask the question of why we didn't hire him, but rather, why no other university has hired him yet as well. It's not just us but it has become a trend in his 20+ years coaching.

If we wait a month or two, Tim Floyd will be somewhere else. If we really want him, we better grab him now. After watching him beat us so many times, I'd rather have him one of us.

if its floyd the university wants then we'll get him in the next few weeks. if we hit mid-april and no floyd then we are more than likely going after one of the others

I'm a longtime Cajun Basketball fan. Started going with my Dad in 1965. I lost interest this past year for the first time & didn't renew my season tickets. I'll go on record right now. If we hire Tim Floyd, I'll immediately renew my season tickets and donate $1,000 to the basketball program. Believe me, I'm not rich, just excited. (my wife will probably kill me)

UL was the 1st "Why" in the chain, I don't find this answer difficult.

Floyd is not hireable until the NCAA announces their findings in the USC investigation. No university is going to hire him if they have to fire him a few days later.
