Please, if you can find even 5 schools who pull off a big upset one week, and win the next week, let us know. Unless you're talking about a major power program, I can't think of a single one.

Here you go with a simple search.

2007 App upsets Michigan then defeats Lenoir-Rhyne 48-7.
2007 Navy upsets Notre Dame then defeats North Texas 74-62.
2010 James Madison upsets Virginia Tech then defeats Liberty 10-3.
2010 Jacksonville State upsets Ole Miss then defeats Chattanooga 21-17.
1999 Louisiana Tech upsets Alabama then defeats Louisiana 41-31.

Well another option was 2007 ULM upsets Alabama then defeats Lousiaina 17-11.

We have some really bad football teams through the years.

THE TEAM--NOT THE FANS -- has to FORGET ISU and laser focus on GSA!
    FANS have that luxury.

OK, first you had to go back 20 years.

And three of the five are what I call 'inexcusable squeakers'. Navy barely beat UNT, Va Tech barely beat Liberty, J State barely beat Chattanooga.

Your boast was 10:1, for every 1 teaming falling flat after a big game, you could find 10 that did not.

I pulled all of the 'upsets' last year, i.e., unranked teams beating ranked teams. These don't really make my point; I want to look at teams that haven't 'been there', who go on to win the next week.

Nevertheless, the numbers prove you wrong: 23 losses, 11 real wins, 3 inexcusable squeaker wins.

** inexcusable squeaker, a game which shouldn't have been close

In really big upsets, where a mid-major clobbers a big school, they very rarely win against a reasonable opponent the next week.

You asked for 5 I gave you five. Also, I chose to leave off P5 vs P5. Okay change the rule of your game, have a great day.

I think Dr. Fun is concerned about a new outbreak of Cajun Disaster Syndrome. The concern is well placed, but with our Ragin Cajun Practitioner (Napier) in charge, I don’t think he will let the players pay attention to the hype this time.

However, the 'Noles did not lose another game the rest of the season, beating #21 LA State, #17 Syracuse, #11 Auburn, #2 Miami, and finally, #7 Nebraska in the Fiesta. At the end of the season, they were once again receiving #1 votes, as many pundits argued that they were the best team in the nation.

Meanwhile, USM, with Brett Favre at the helm, lost its next 4 games, and ended up with a losing season... including a defeat at the hands of underdog Louisiana-Lafayette.

Then recall how three years ago Troy popped LA State... and dropped the next game to a 4-8 South Al team (3-9 if Troy had taken care of business).

You see it constantly, 'Latecomer's Letdown': when a new team is rising, and not used to beating major teams, almost without fail after a major win, it loses the next game.

Even if they're playing the Montessori school down the road.

GSU will not be a cakewalk. In 2018 they went 2-10, improving to 7-6 in just one year.

If you folks want to help the Cajuns, stop talking about ISU and all the national attention, and start talking about GSU.

    And don't bet this week.
Maybe ya should have a conversation with Napier Dr Joe. Oh! Wait he’s pretty much knows how to stay humble. So maybe we fans should stay humble? Don’t enjoy the moment. Naw, it’s the players who need your cautionary tales.

I’ve got more faith in Billy than any coach sine B Shipley. He’s going to do everything in his power to keep 18-24 year olds focused. Never an easy task for sure.
