The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Golf team will make its long-awaited 2020-21 season debut on Sunday when it opens play at the Jim Rivers Intercollegiate at Squire Creek Country Club.

First round action begins with 18 holes at 8 a.m., on the par-72, 7,070-yard course. The second round will begin at 8 a.m., on Monday with the final round of play in the 54-hole event set for Tuesday at 8 a.m. Live scoring will be available at GolfStat.com.

Joining Louisiana and host Louisiana Tech in the 12-team field includes four Sun Belt Conference schools – Little Rock, South Alabama, Texas State and ULM – plus Abilene Christian, Central Arkansas, Houston Baptist, Lamar, UAB and Western Kentucky.

Redshirt freshman Matt Weber and true freshman Jake Marler will each make their debut in a Ragin' Cajuns uniform with Peter Hinnant, Bjorn Gudjonsson and Cole Kendrick rounding out the lineup.

When the Ragin' Cajuns tee off in Sunday's opening round, it will be their first round of play in a span of 201 days since completing the Border Olympics in Laredo, Texas on Feb. 25. Louisiana had its final four meets – including the 35th annual Louisiana Classics and Sun Belt Conference Championships – canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic with the Jim Rivers Intercollegiate being the first of three events scheduled for the fall.

Louisiana is scheduled to compete in late September at the Graeme McDowell Intercollegiate (Sept. 29-30) in Birmingham, Ala., and the Intercollegiate at the Grove (Oct. 5-6) in College Grove, Tenn.,
