Counterfeiting suspects now in custody
Two people who may have made counterfeit $20 bills are behind bars today.
On Thursday in the early afternoon hours Abbeville Detective Sgt. Jason Hebert received a tip as to the whereabouts of Robert and Sloane Roberts.
With the assistance of US Marshall Corey Britt & The US Marshall Fugitive Task Force, Lafayette Marshall’s Office and Abbeville Detective Stan Suire, the information was confirmed and shortly thereafter the Roberts were taken into custody at their residence located at 109 Amhurst, Lot D in Maurice without incident.
