Haha..That's funny. "Well, ya know Jay, we turned over the bottom of the lineup with some speed and had those guys 90 feet away and didn't get the runs across"...
I am usually one of those to jump to Robe's defense when the board starts being critical of him. I don't pretend to know more about baseball than the coaching staff, but jeez, how long are you gonna give a guy batting .140 AND and struggling in the field? Tyler Frederick REALLY looks good flashing the leather AND swinging the bat. If Arizona St. prodigy is STILL starting over him this week......I'm close to being off the Robe bandwagon.

Scotto, you are on crack if you think Robe will sit Goulas. He and Fuse are flat out ineligible for the Tony's ____e List, no matter how bad they are playing at the time.

Wait... are you saying Alex Fuselier is playing badly? If you did, I must have missed that somehow... which would be hard since I've seen all games except ONE.

No...he's just referring to Tony's leash. It's extremely short for some players and really really long for others. No matter how bad Goulas and Fuse play (generally speaking) he will not pull them. It's kind of like a pitcher he's really high on. If that guy gets in a jam, he'll pull em and if it's a guy who he isn't really fond of (someone he may have not recruited and put on a pedistal) he'll let'em sit in there and get shelled.

Fuse is playing great right now and Jimbo knows it. Goulas is not getting the clutch at bats that he had two year prior....

Sometimes the leash should be a little longer than other times. There is a price to pay for development with some guys. My leash with a guy like fuze or a Frederick would be a little longer because in my eyes that's part of development. As was when Lucroy, Goulas and Les smith were freshmen. I don't know if u ever recruit a HS senior and say he's gonna be everyday player and be a 3,4, or 5 hole guy right out the gate. These new juco guys were suppose to be the quick fix if u will, tk come in and make an impact right away. So far that hasn't happened yet at the plate, but yet it has on the mound.

he's bulletproof as long as the tigue has "the best game-time atmosphere of any park in the nation."

very true, but i promise if ranuado ends up gone for the season, the tigers defense of the title is over before it started. pitching poor, except for the closer.

Sunday was a pitiful comedy of errors, except it wasn't funny at all!!!

It's fairly apparent that this is not a very good team...they can't hit well, they can't field well and they can't pitch well at times either! I agree that it's time for Robe to be held accountable...it's been 10 years since Omaha, with only limited success since.

Fans don't like watching bad baseball, just like fans don't like watching bad football or basketball either!!!

Robe better find a way to make this team do a magical 180 degree turn soon!

Then head over to Blackham and catch an IceGators game...Oh wait then you would be subjected to horrible..horrible...horrible hockey. This will not go down as a good year for sports in Acadiana.

It had that atmosphere before Tony.

Anyone remember running for miscues in games? I remember running doubles for strikeouts looking, leaving runners on, not getting a bunt down, etc. And this wasn't an individual punishment. Everyone on the team ran for everyone's miscues. Before long, the guys doing their job get fed up and start lighting a fire under the others. Anything like this going on with Robe's teams?
