What makes u think that? Yes he is the head man, and definately knows pitching. Ultimately he is respomsible. Some of this stuff is Schefz crap, not all of it but some of it is. Realizing that some juco guys take steps back before going forward, I am not ready to hold Trahan to the fire just yet. I do like the much more agressive approach offensively. Im not gonna bash a kid on this message board, but there are a few that arent D1 players in the lineup
schefz "crap" sure went into baton rouge and took 2 of 3 from the #1 team in the country this weekend?

For the past two seasons and the 2010 season to date, we are 66-65 to date! Glad we played Alcorn twice this week!
While you are correct, I doubt LSU looked like a little league team that couldn't throw the ball back to the pitcher in those games. 7 errors in a D-1 baseball game is inexcusable, especially for a program that recruits and supposedly gets talented ball players. There is no doubting that this program has underachieved for the past 3-4 years or so. The team two years ago had supposedly one of the best pitching staffs in the country and we barely qualified for our own conference tourney held at our ballpark.
If you want to blame it on Schefz, that is cool with me, but Robe hired the guy and signed off on all the kids he brought in. I personally did not think that Wade Simeneaux was that influential or could own much of the success we had in the late 90's and early 2000's. But as the seasons go by it becomes more apparent that he was the man.
IMO the baseball program needs to be held to a higher standard than football and basketball due to the more recent success the program has had. We need to improve not move backwards like we have been over the past 3 years.
Unfortunately, I've only been to one UL game this season (Sat game versus USM) and I was less than impressed. It appears UL has good pitching, below average hitting and the fielding is horrible. I know that Robe is untouchable in the eyes of many, but he has to be held accountable at some point. The incredible 2000 season is long gone and he needs to bring some magic back to the program.
The last couple of years, I've been critical of Robe ONLY because you hear so much garbage about basketball and esepcially football coaches here. Most here have wanted Bustle gone for several years now and while I understand the frustration, its undeniable that the program has progressed albeit not to the pace that we all would like. However, Robe has had the talent here in recent seasons to have that "special" year and his teams have fallen flat on their face. You've seen that for a few years in basketball and Lee was run out of town and while it was justified, there's a lot of patience that many are willing to extend Robe that wouldn't have been offered coaches for football or basketball. Many people say that because of his past successes, that buys him respect that he will be able to turn it around. I, however, look at those past successes as creating higher expectations as the bar was raised, thus giving his program more to live up to. that might just be me but with success comes higher expectations. Ask Les Miles at LSU. i'm fairly sure he'd agree.
I'm in no way advocating that Robe should be gone as he has done wonders here given the financial woes he sees year in and year out at this university and I think he loves the university. I'm just saying that it seems that he should be held accountable to an equitable degree.
FWIW, I turned off the Internet video feed of the game after the 7th error. I couldn't take it anymore.
A bloop single to left should NEVER allow the batter to score! I was embarrased for them.
