Ragin' Cajuns Plan Supply Drive for McNeese State and Surrounding Communities

From Tuesday to Thursday (Sept. 1-3), the University, AmeriCorps community service program and Department of Athletics will be collecting donations at Cajun Field to benefit those impacted by Hurricane Laura at McNeese State and its surrounding communities.

If that occurred it was unacceptable and robbed the march of any credibility. However helping out our friends to the west Is something I applaud the program for. I have yet to see anyone be able to actually confirm this rumor, so it may be best for Cajun fans to stop repeating it unless we know for sure it happened.

I agree, I have seen nearly a 1000 pictures and over an hour video. Until I see it, I don't believe it.

There were no armed protesters on campus. There were some across the street, but not on university property. If you have seen it somewhere please provide a link to the video or pictures so I can shut my mouth.

Good to know the stories of signs with profanity were just a rumor. Back to the original intent of this thread. I dropped some supplies off yesterday and the process is vey simple. Turn on to CajunDome Boulevard from Congress, turn into Gate 5 right at the edge of the Cajun Field parking lot, and then take another right into the parking lot. Athletes and other folks will then direct you the rest of the way. Those folks west of us really need help. Encourage all of you to participate in this effort.

They were being monitored by law enforcement the entire time and at one point one of the individuals briefly crossed onto University property. It was addressed at that time and there were no further issues. The statement was made that it is under review to determine if further actions need to be taken against the individual.

I’m not in Lafayette, but St Catherine of Siena was having a big drive. Dropped of , yes y’all know it toilet paper and paper towels. Also some canned goods that you don’t have to cook like tuna, salmon and assorted bottles of water.
