Still working through the details with TicketMaster. Season ticket holders are first the priority. The first four seats at the beginning next to any walkway leading up or down the stairs will be blocked off for social distancing. My understanding is all season ticket holders will be accommodated at this time, that could change depending on what the governor does in the coming weeks.
From University Press Release on August 20.
"Season ticket holders, fans and the general public will learn more about the entry and attendance processes at Cajun Field in the coming weeks.
Should disruptions or modifications to the 2020 season occur due to the coronavirus, the Department of Athletics will quickly communicate plans to fans and season ticket holders regarding accommodations for pre-purchased tickets."
Ga. State has issued their ticket and game procedures...https://georgiastatesports.com/news/...-for-2020.aspx
Good News. The Thursday game against Ark. State has been moved to Saturday for TV.
Unfortunate news: There will be NO tailgating
Tough Times call for tough measures. unconfirmed
Seating:
First 4 seats on each row will be blocked off – so if a row has 30 seats – we start with 22 available.
4 seats on each row next to occupied seats must be empty.
First 2 rows on the top and bottom will not be seated.
There will be 2 empty rows in between seated rows. So if the section has 30 rows you only have 9 rows with people.
Suites will have about 40% occupancy and not allowed to roam around.
Concessions will be limited
Limited to beer??? Yes? Yes? Yes?
Im more concerned with single game tickets, many people can only make it in for one or two games a year and should have an opportunity to attend games.
That may or may not happen depending on capacity and demand. I can tell you there are always tickets out there to go around. I have 7 tickets, I am single and have no kids. I usually give all of my tickets away. Season ticket holders have to be the highest priority when getting people into the games. If we want more capacity, call the governor's office, he will ultimately be setting how many people will get into the game.
I think I am going to pass on this year's football season. I don't think I want to fight all the hubub.
Most schools that have announced are in the 20-25% range of stadium capacity. I like my seats but will sit where ever this season.
