Although the Vermilion Parish Police Jury decided to defer the proposed tax election until October, City of Abbeville Mayor Mark Piazza said Thursday the city will still pursue seeking an Attorney General’s opinion regarding the matter.
City Legal Counsel J. Isaac Funderburk was still preparing the letter, according to Piazza, and a legal report will be announced at the March 16 City Council meeting.
