Thread: RCAF Launching Recent Grad Program as New Membership Opportunity

  1. Support RCAF Launching Recent Grad Program as New Membership Opportunity

The Ragin' Cajuns Athletic Foundation will now offer recent graduates of the University a special opportunity to establish a philanthropic relationship with the RCAF, as well as begin earning benefits. The RCAF Recent Grad Program will allow those who have graduated in the past five years to begin supporting Louisiana Athletics' student-athletes and its 16 sport programs at a reduced rate.

In the new program, RCAF membership will be offered for as little as $25 per year. Each investor will receive a soft-match credit for their donations, which will allow new members to receive twice the benefits. For example, by donating $25 to the Annual Fund, a Recent Grad member will earn benefits at the $50 level of the RCAF.

All investments made to the RCAF are tax-deductible and directly impact the lives of more than 450 Ragin' Cajuns student-athletes. Contributions provide scholarships, nutrition, academic support, equipment and more.

"The RCAF Recent Grad Program is an incredibly important initiative for us to expand our donor base while helping young alumni stay connected with their beloved Ragin' Cajuns," said Lee De León, Deputy Director of Athletics and Executive Director of the RCAF. "We wanted to create an affordable and enticing opportunity for recent graduates to give back to their alma mater and impact future graduates who represent them on the fields of competition."

This new membership, available starting Fall 2020, will include exclusive benefits like a one-time RCAF Recent Grad gift, special events, networking opportunities, ticket discounts and more. Membership in the RCAF's Recent Grad program is available for up to five years since an individual's graduation date from the University.

For those interested in becoming an RCAF Recent Grad member, call the office at 337-851-RCAF (7223) or email RCAF@louisiana.edu.

Active RCAF members will also have the ability to gift or sponsor Recent Grad memberships for family and friends. Those interested in this opportunity should contact Assistant Director of Annual Giving, Katelyn Dubuc (katelyn.dubuc@louisiana.edu). More information will be provided soon at myRCAF.org.

A positive program for the future of UL athletics in these times (when we don’t know if we will play sports and if we play if there will be fans and if there there are fans, which long time supporters will not get their tickets and will we tail gate) and on and on and on . . . is pretty darn good.
