78th GOODE Water Ski National Championships underway in Zachary
Before this year, the 1980s were the last times Bennett’s Tri Lakes water ski facility in Zachary hosted the US national championships.
It was held there first in 1984 and then again in 1989, more than 30 years ago. However, due to COVID-19, the 2020 event had to be moved from Florida to an alternate location.

After winning 7 national championships, UL's water ski team is looking to grow
The Ragin’ Cajuns Water Ski team officially claimed their seventh national title at the National Collegiate Water Ski Association’s championship in Rio Linda, California.
The team was formed in 1998, and they have now won national titles in 1995, 1997, 2003, 2005, 2010, 2015 and 2019
