Our last 2 games were unimpressive wins, and that matters in the polls. Love the wins, and it will matter in the long run, if we can stay undefeated. We just really need to improve in a lot of areas to be able to keep winning.

We’re lucky to be getting votes at all. Last years team was better than this. Offense isn’t clicking. Lost a lot on the line and receiver positions. I think that will change as the season progresses but right now we are 3-0 bc of defense and special teams.
We dropped out because 6 teams were added. 4 big10 Oregon, and the only team that proved anything, miss state. So I guess we will have 5 p5 teams sitting in the polls for a month at
0-0. What a crock of ____. It’s all about money. Get the p5 names in and the g5 names out ASAP.
BYU has 2 wins by 52 and 41 and dropped 4 spots.
Sometimes it feels like we’re knocking down a brick wall with a feather duster.
Turbine makes a good point. We could jump back into rankings being idle next weekend. A
On a positive note; All of the P5 teams have apparently been placed back in the system and are being ranked. But, even with that, it only droped UL down to #26-#27. I think there will be some losses that take place in the Top 25 almost every week. Therefore, if the Cajuns can continue taking care of business, it will only take a loss or two in the Top 25 for the Cajuns to return in that number. But, if UL takes a loss, all bets are off the table.
USA Today re-rank of all 126 FBS teams

Good news is that only two teams that are ahead of us have losses (LSU and Oklahoma). Both of those guys were in the FBS playoffs last year. We are in good shape as long as we win.
We have a really fickle fan base. Usually it is complaining about other stuff, now we are complaining that we are in most peoples eyes ranked between #20 - #30 in the nation. I do not think this fan base will ever be happy. I know we all want the absolute best, but can we not just sit back and enjoy being 3-0 and 2-0 in the SBC with a 10 day break to get healthy.
I'm more excited that our fanbase has a little higher expectations. I remember when we would hope to win 6 games just to make it to a bowl. Now, we are hoping to be ranked. That means that there's a standard that's been increased with this program. I don't expect it to always be like this, but it's nice to have an unusual conversation like actually being ranked.
