This ranking fiasco has nothing to do with Hud or 1943.

However to show the hypocrisy . in 1943 they kept undefeated Louisiana out of the polls with the logic that they hadn't played enough games.

NOW a third into the 2020 season, they are inserting teams into the poll that haven't played any games.

You can’t or shouldn’t compare 1943 to 2020 in anything including the hard science physics much less subjective social science. You might be right in that they may still consider only games played once the season is well established.
