Something like this could rekindle the fire . . .
Yeah it’s been a few years. That’s pretty sad, I always loved watching the tailgaters on Saturday mornings. Got me excited for the game.
If there aren’t many tailgaters, or fans parked in general, maybe we could add a district. I still wonder about cost though. And unlike Tennessee a hotel would not be necessary. Like I said, there is a Hilton Garden Inn across the street. You guys managed to convince me that this is a good idea. LOL
New Orleans has what is known as the Louisiana Sports and Exposition District around the Dome and Arena and it has generated more money than ever thought possible.
Champions Square is a direct result of it.
Having your town's Saturday/Sunday/MNF game as the back drop to a show seems to work pretty damn well.
That would take people who WANT to be big time and who WANT to succeed in athletics. We hate money and have no vision.
I thought the concept was part of the master plan. Retail Food Living space. Not aware concept is dead. Financing isn’t realistic now.
Oh yeah it was definitely on the master plan for it to be directly across Congress from Cajun Field. The available land would be perfect for this concept
The location on West Congress would probably need a pedestrian tunnel built to safely move people back and forth
With the Cajun Field to Moncus Park stretch of Bertrand continuing to build out (slowly but gradually) with bars, would that take away from the location across CF on West Congress?
When there is no one who wants to sit with you around the campfire, there are usually few if any words that are spoken . . . much less any heard . . .
