    Well, I can tell you, those of us from Erath who watched him play often sure thought he would. You do know he had other offers from bigger schools that he turned down to come to UL? Typical small school mentality.

    He would have had more had his ACT score been better.

    Agreed. There were other reasons as well that he wanted to stay close to home. My BIL is a coach at Erath. I was just thrilled he choose UL. He’s a really good kid.

    His mother was a big factor as well. Love that lady!

    You must have never seen this kid play then. He put up huge numbers on weak teams. Teams stacked the box and still couldn't stop him. He was special.

    He is a totally different back now than he was in High school which is a good thing.. What I mean by special is some one like Hillard that was in his district that just took over the game

    Hillard flamed out in college while Mitchell became a game changer
