He got about $400 k signing bonus in 2015. He did get some MLB time in 2018 and got a nice contact the next year, but never got called up. He played winter ball this year and did not hit well.
https://www.spotrac.com/mlb/cincinna...cash-earnings/ This shows $709,000
709k is correct. My bad.

"Blake Trahan is one of my favorite minor league players of all time. I was a visiting equipment manager in AA when he was with Pensacola. I would have to load/unload the bus by myself. If I was lucky players would grab a bag on their way to the locker room, but even that was rare. When Pensacola came to town Blake would go back and forth to the locker room until the bus was completely empty. He was literally the only player to ever do that for me. On top of making my job easier he also tipped generously and was always down to chat"
I would bet #36 had a little to do with this!
Nah. But you do make considerably more. MLB players union protects the 40 man guys or guys with major league service time. But they don’t get full league minimum while on 40 man in the minors. In addition guys with service time in the bigs not on the 40 man will get minor league contracts that are a good living, but those jobs are harder to get/keep. Usually looking for a new team every year that needs minor league depth at your position just in case because the next guy in line isn’t ready or timing isn’t right.
Sad to hear he’s done hung it up but he’s going to be alright whatever he gets into.
