The best defensive infielder I've ever seen at the Tigue. Was pretty clutch at the plate as well. Wish he could've made it stick.

Hearing he was going to be on the 60 man roster with playing time at big league level this year. Why now?
The time Blake was here he made a play almost every game that made you shake your head. He is the measure for every ss that will come through here.. and most do not come close.
What I like the most about him is that he sprinted to his position every single inning. Not jog,, not walk,, but a full out sprint. Also he is true to his faith. There are some you tube videos of his fielding gems while in pro ball..
Yup: SS, CF and C used to be positions that defense could override hitting, those days are gone, especially in MLB.
Saw this post on a story about him retiring:
Blake Trahan is one of my favorite minor league players of all time. I was a visiting equipment manager in AA when he was with Pensacola. I would have to load/unload the bus by myself. If I was lucky players would grab a bag on their way to the locker room, but even that was rare. When Pensacola came to town Blake would go back and forth to the locker room until the bus was completely empty. He was literally the only player to ever do that for me. On top of making my job easier he also tipped generously and was always down to chat
All the best for BT. I know he’ll land on his feet but I also read there he was going to get some chances with the big league club this year.
I doubt he is worried where his next meal will come from, he may have been presented with another professional opportunity. I can’t imagine he would have trouble finding employment. His salary last year was $555k
