Is it just me or is this year slower than past years with incoming commitments? Is this due to Covid or other factors?

I read that Kids across the country are committing in record numbers compared to years past. trying to make sure they have a spot locked up. we seem to be in the fewer than most commits category for whatever reason. maybe the coaching staff wants to wait longer before accepting commitments with a few exceptions of course.
I agree, it's slower than what we've seen the past couple years.
Maybe cuz other schools are saying Billy won't be around next year. Or maybe we're are shooting higher this year and will have to wait longer for commits. Just speculating.
Agree, we appear to be behind a bit.
I'm wondering if there may not be as many openings for Head Coaching positions after this season, due to the loss of revenue being felt by most schools. I would assume that will mean that many schools may not be willing to be so quick to fire a coach and then have to continue paying his large salary for several more years or buy him out. Time will tell.
Was thinking the same after I posted my reply. I hope that's the case, where new opportunities are very limited. It would be great to keep this staff together a few more years....but that's wishful thinking and I'm sure most would love to move to a bigger program for more money etc. etc.
I was just looking at our all-time top recruits in 247 ..oof that is not a good list
outside of Brown these guys barley saw the field or a Cajuns jersey
