To be fair, it is an 'experience'. Family from out of state likes to go to Randols for the music/dancing, etc. Prejeans is the same. A good experience for out of towners.
DI's out in the country past Iota is as authentic as it gets.

I almost added DI’s and Ruby’s but figured Eunice area was a bit too far.

Agree with R4U about the experience of Prejean’s and Randol’s.

Oh damn. Forgot about Rubys. I have not been there in years. If we are widening our radius, lets talk Sonnys Chicken in The Point and Nickeys in Kaplan!

Speaking of.. Does Rod’s do plate lunches?
We could do an entirely separate thread like this just for Specialty Meats spots..

Tim’s Kitchen in Broussard is worth going to just for their rolls.

Wow another blast from the past. Not sure if they still serve plate lunches. I could not eat one right now anyway.Food coma city! They used to pile so much food on there.
I do not get the Blanchards love. Its ok but I think Johnsons is much better.

Johnson’s all day, but I’m biased. The original in Eunice was across from my Grandparent’s house. I grew up stomping on those crickety floors.

Blanchard’s, back when I was in that area often, was pretty damn good.

I would add The Brown Skillet. In Chevron? Corner of University and Pinhook. Great lunch, great people.
    Zorbas for Lebanese-Syrian-Greek.
Steamboat Warehouse in Washington is off the beaten path but the food is good and the building and location is very cool.
    Steamboat 👍🏼

Lil Big Cup... Not tea cup..

No idea how that happened. Either way, severely overrated. I’ve never had a good experience there and the food is just ‘OK’. Not worth the price or the drive.
